Backcountry Touring Rental Policy 

We carry a full fleet of alpine touring gear available to rent in Bonne Bay as well as Gros Morne and the rest of Newfoundland. It's important to find the right fit and that's hard to do living here shopping on the internet. If you're new to splitboarding there really aren't any options like this so either swing by the shop or send a message to set up a rental.

General Liability Release of Claims

 

Effective immediately upon execution, I, the Rentee (being the individual or party renting, or availing of services) for and in consideration of the payment to me of legal Canadian currency, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby release and forever discharge Mantle Board Shoppe, their agents, employees, successors and assigns, and their respective heirs, personal representatives, affiliates, successors and assigns, and any and all persons, firms or corporations liable or who might be claimed to be liable, whether or not herein named, none of whom admit any liability to the undersigned, but all expressly denying liability, from any and all claims, demands, damages, actions, causes of action or suits of any kind or nature whatsoever, which I now have or may hereafter have, arising out of or in any way relating to any and all injuries and damages of any and every kind, to both person and property, and also any and all injuries and damages that may develop in the future, as a result of or in any way relating to the following:

Renting, Purchasing and using any products or services provided by Mantle Board Shoppe 

 

Potential injuries arising from Splitboarding and Alpine touring  may include but are not limited to: 

  • boarding, riding, getting towed behind and disembarking snowmobiles, ATVs, snowcats, helicopters;

  • changing weather conditions;

  • Avalanches, avalanche terrain, couloirs;

  • exposed rock, earth, ice, and other natural objects;

  • trees, tree wells, tree stumps and forest deadfall;

  • the condition of snow or ice on or beneath the surface;

  • variations in the terrain which may create blind spots or areas of reduced visibility;

  • variations in the surface or subsurface, including changes due to man-made or artificial snow;

  • variable and difficult conditions;

  • streams, creeks, brooks, rivers and exposed holes in the snowpack above streams or creeks;

  • cliffs; crevasses, hanging valleys;

  • snowcat roads, snowmobile trails, groomed and ungroomed, road-banks or cut-banks;

  • collision with hydro towers, guy wires, fences, snow grooming equipment, snowcats, snowmobiles or other vehicles, equipment or structures;

  • encounters with domestic and wild animals including, but not limited to, dogs, chickens, ducks, geese, moose, caribou, coyotes, bears, bear dens;

  • collision with other persons;

  • loss of balance or control; slips, trips and falls;

  • negligent first aid;

  • failure to act safely or within one’s own ability or to stay within designated safer areas;

  • negligence of other persons; and negligence on the owner operator.

 

It is understood and agreed that this payment is made and received in full and complete settlement and satisfaction the causes of action, claims and demands mentioned herein; that this Release contains the entire agreement between the parties; and that the terms of this agreement are contractual and not merely a recital. This Release may not be altered, amended or modified, except by a written document signed by both parties. 

 

Furthermore, this Release shall be binding upon the undersigned, and his respective heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives, successors and assigns. This Release shall be subject to and governed by the laws of the country of Canada and the province of Newfoundland Labrador. 

 

This Release has been carefully read and fully understood by clicking on the "I agree to the terms of service" box. The terms have been explained to me and I am freely, knowingly and voluntarily entering into this Release.

Returns and Exchanges

CUSTOMER SERVICE POLICY

Mantle Board Shoppe is committed to providing exceptional customer service and quality products.
We endeavor to make sure that all products listed on our website are currently in stock and pricing is true and correct. Standard delivery time frames are between 5-15 business days; in the event that an ordered item is not available or we are unable to fulfill your order we will notify you within 2 business days to arrange an agreeable alternative item, a back order or a full refund. Items such as Splitboards, Splitboard Bindings from our suppliers in Europe can be special ordered in when not in stock.

SHIPPING POLICY

We deliver products Canada wide and some products to the United States using Canada Post. Not all items are available outside of Canada. International Shoppers please note: Shipping costs on large items such as boards and bindings will have to be added to completed orders and a separate transaction for shipping will need to take place as prices can be drastically different from country to country. 
Orders are dispatched within 2 business days unless product is on back order, then will be dispatched within 2 business days after arrival. Shipping times are estimated at between 5-7 business days depending on your location within Canada. 

RETURNS POLICY
Please choose carefully. We do not normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision.
You can choose between a refund, exchange or credit where goods are faulty, have been wrongly described, are different to the product purchased on the website or doesn't perform as advertised.

Our policy lasts 15 days. If 15 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in original condition with all original packaging/ticketing/labels. Garments must not have been worn (other than tried on for size).

Perishable goods cannot be returned.
We also do not accept products that are hazardous materials or flammable liquids or gases.

 

Gift cards are non-returnable.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)
* Items with obvious signs of use
* Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
* Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, you can choose between a refund or store credit.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us using the "Contact Us" form on our website.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. Exchanges for the same item in a different size will not incur any additional charges and will be processed subject to stock availability. If the new item is a different product (including a different color) and there is a price difference you may need to pay the difference or receive a partial refund.

Contest & Social Media Giveaway Rules & Regulations

Facebook and Instagram Contests and Giveaways are in no way affiliated, endorsed or recognized by the sites they are hosted on. Giveaways will be accepted as is where is. Shipping costs of prizes are not included in prize. Winner will be notified of shipping cost. Apparel: in the event no size is available for a particular prize, a percentage store credit will be issued in leu of. Any media generated by contestant to promote the contest can be used for promotional purposes without prior written consent, such as story shares and post shares on social media sites.
